Great class for your child

At Saugaat Montessori School, our Grade 2 program builds upon the strong foundation laid in earlier years, moving students toward greater independence, deeper understanding, and more advanced skills. We follow progressive, student-centered pedagogies aligned with the government-prescribed curriculum, ensuring that learning is both meaningful and age-appropriate. Our Grade 2 students continue to learn through real-world experiences like field trips, presentations, thematic projects, and hands-on activities that bridge classroom concepts with daily life applications.

We continue to give special emphasis to moral values, helping children develop a strong sense of ethics, empathy, and social responsibility. At this stage, students are encouraged to take on more ownership of their actions, responsibilities, and learning — nurturing them into confident, skillful individuals prepared to contribute to their communities.

Reading and literary engagement grow more sophisticated in Grade 2. We deepen students’ appreciation for English and Nepali literature through enriched activities such as book reviews, author studies, creative writing, chhanda-bachan, and writer workshops. These foster critical thinking, imagination, and improved language proficiency. Students are also given access to IT facilities to support research, presentations, and multimedia learning.

Our learning environment encourages collaboration with families. Parents are invited to participate in various school programs, ensuring they remain key partners in their child’s educational journey. Grade 2 learners also actively participate in school-wide events like Saugaat Prativako Manch, Chhanda Sanjha, Literature Festival, Math & Science Exhibitions, Olympic Day, and more. They take on leadership roles, often acting as Master of Ceremony or presenters during Grandparents’ Day, Parents’ Day, Bal Bhajan Aaradhana, and Family Visit Programs.
