At Saugaat Montessori School, our Nursery class curriculum is thoughtfully designed to nurture the overall growth of young children through a holistic development approach, Montessori methodology, thematic learning and a strong focus on Moral and Cultural values. We believe that early childhood education should support the physical, emotional, social and intellectual development of every child in a joyful and meaningful environment. We believe in learning by doing, encouraging children to engage in habit-forming activities like dressing themselves, brushing their teeth, washing their plates, and organizing their belongings—helping them develop life skills and responsibility. Our activities are child-centered, hands-on and rooted in real-life experiences to foster independence, curiosity, creativity and Critical thinking .

Nursery Class Activities

Holistic Development

Activities that promote physical (fine and gross motor skills), cognitive (thinking and problem-solving), emotional (self-awareness and empathy), and social (sharing and cooperation) growth.

Moral and Life Skills Education

Instilling values like kindness, honesty, and respect through stories, group activities, and daily classroom routines, along with essential life skills such as hygiene and self-care.

Montessori-Based Learning

Practical life exercises, sensorial exploration, early literacy and numeracy using Montessori materials that encourage independence and concentration.

Cultural Awareness

Celebrating local festivals, traditional arts, songs, stories and customs to help children develop appreciation for their own and others’ cultures.

Thematic Learning Approach

Engaging children through monthly or weekly themes (e.g. “My Family”, “Seasons”, “Animals”) that connect art, language, math, and play around real-world topics.
